Kalawaan Child Development Center (Pasig Feeding Program)

ADBSA-SWC had been involved in this project for several years.This project is a pre school for three to six years old children,in kalawaan,pasig.Currently there are 80 children and three sets of classes are held every day due to the number of students.Contribution to this project is PHP7,000 per month, representing PHP5,000 salary for the teacher and PHP2,000 for basic educational supplies.

The classes are handled by Teacher Joeben Acaban. Ching Purdue,the Chairperson of the SWC and Julie Bowen handle this project.

Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity Tondo, Pasig

This home for the abandoned children was established by Mother Theresa of Calcutta. This home is one of several in the country run by the nuns of the Missionaries of Charity. They care for the sick, malnourished and abandoned children that are brought to them. The population of the children fluctuates, The ADBSA SWC provides a budget of PHP7,000 per month to the Missionaries of Charity which is mostly used to buy medicines and milk for the sick babies. Tess James handles the project.

Third World Movement Against Exploitation of Women (TW-MAE-W) Nazareth Homes

This is a home for sexually abused women, headed by Sister Soledad Peripinan. SWC contribution to the project is PHP7,000 per month. The project is handled by Mio Ishida.


Tulay ng Kabataan Quezon City

TNK Foundation,meaning a bridge for the children, is a local NGO,founded by Fr Jean Francois Thomas in 1989.Its aim is to support the poorest children in Manila.its main programs involve assistance for street children,slums and scavenging areas in dump site.SWC is very proud of the personal participation of its members for the benefit of TNK.We provide P4000 per month or the equivalent of two sacks of rice.

Starting recently,Hema Arora started mini classes with children at a TNK drop in Center in Kalayaan Avenue and several countries such as India,China,Japan,Australia,Sri Lanka were introduced with the help of supporting members of ADBSA.

Hema Arora and Anju Nundy handle this project.
